Taiwan Stock Exchange launches ESG information hub

The new hub is designed to help facilitate ESG investment and drive sustainable finance

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) has announced the launch of a new ESG InfoHub, which allows investors to more easily compare ESG-related information on listed companies.

The TWSE said that it hopes that the hub will help facilitate ESG investment and drive sustainable finance.

It also added the hub, alongside the newly launched InvestmentInfo Hub, which aggregates information from TWSE, the Market Observation Post System and the Market Information System websites, would help improve transparency and increase the standing of the country’s listed companies internationally.

Taiwan has seen a flurry of foreign investment on the back of the recent AI frenzy and as of June 30, the country’s stock market was up 19.65% for the year, behind only Japan among Asian stock markets.

“Taiwan’s stock market has sound fundamentals. This year, it has continued to attract foreign capital and recorded an outstanding rise in stock prices. We hope the foreign capital will keep coming to Taiwan and the launch of the ESG InfoHub and Investment InfoHub will help investors better understand the advantages of listed companies in Taiwan, so as to continuously attract foreign investment,” said Sherman Lin, chairman and CEO of TWSE.
