JLL announces new Apac sustainability consulting head

Elke Kornalijnslijper previously headed JLL’s energy and sustainability services department in southeast Asia

Real estate professional services firm Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has named Elke Kornalijnslijper as its head of sustainability consulting for Asia Pacific.

From her base in Singapore, Kornalijnslijper will manage a team of 100 real estate sustainability experts and oversee the provision of sustainability advice and solutions for JLL’s client base across 11 markets in the region.

She will also work closely with JLL’s occupier and investor clients to identify gaps, risks and opportunities in existing sustainability strategies across their real estate portfolios.

In line with this, Kornalijnslijper will drive the expansion of JLL’s net-zero carbon buildings services across the region, including a suite of solutions addressing maturing real estate portfolio strategies, retrofitting projects for existing developments, energy optimisation and other value-add consulting services such as reporting, certification and compliance.

Kornalijnslijper has more than 15 years of experience in dedicated sustainability, new energy, proptech and cleantech.

Prior to her new appointment, she headed JLL’s energy and sustainability services department in southeast Asia. Her responsibilities included advising investor clients on the changing sustainability regulatory framework globally, climate change mitigation and adaption as well as working in a circular economy.
