HANetf has launched the European Green Deal Ucits ETF on the London Stock Exchange and Deustche Börse XETRA.

The ETF and ETC platform said the new offering will provide investors with exposure to companies that stand to benefit from the European Commission’s efforts to cut carbon emissions.

This is achieved by tracking Societe Generale’s SGI European Green Deal ESG Screened NTR Index.

The European Green Deal is a piece of EU policy that aims to reduce greenhouse gases by 55% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 through various means.

Investable themes the ETF will touch on include clean energy, sustainable mobility, building and renovation, and the circular economy.

Hector McNeil, founder and co-CEO of HANetf, commented: “The European Green Deal is set to reshape the European Union’s economy over the coming decades, as member states strive to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. This will require considerable investment and should promote the growth of companies that have a role to play in the transition.”
