Invesco UK’s Stephanie Butcher: ‘ESG is the movement of our age’

Invesco UK is putting sustainability front and centre of its investment decisions, and counting on data and engagement to drive change

Great strides in investing responsibly have been made across the fund industry over the past few years, and many groups are now looking at digging further underneath the surface of what this means for their business, how it differentiates them from competitors and how they can integrate ESG practices across every part and process of the business.

In 2021, Invesco UK will focus on continued development of data, engagement with companies, product development, climate change, and diversity and inclusion, says Stephanie Butcher, CIO of the Invesco investment centre in Henley, in an exclusive interview with ESG Clarity.

“ESG is the movement of our age,” she says. “We have a long-held belief that in order to be successful, the concept of sustainability in all its forms is central to the investment decision.”
