Impax Asset Management has recruited Nana Li as head of sustainability and ESG for the Asia-Pacific region.
She joins from the Asian Corporate Governance Association, an independent organisation working with investors, companies and regulators on implementing effective corporate governance practices, where she was research and project director for China.
Based in Impax’s Hong Kong offices, she reports to head of sustainability and ESG for across the business Lisa Beauvilain. Li’s new role will be responsible for leading Impax’s sustainability, stewardship, advocacy and engagement activities in Asia.
Li commented: “This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the fastest growing asset managers investing in the transition to a more sustainable economy, with a proven legacy in this area.
“I am looking forward to working at Impax to further strengthen its ESG and stewardship activity in APAC.”
Meanwhile, Beauvilain added: “We are very pleased to welcome Nana to Impax in this new role as we continue to expand the team. Nana will be a hugely valuable addition to our sustainability & ESG team as we increase our coverage and analysis with issuers in the region.
“She will pay a crucial role in leading Impax’s sustainability and stewardship work in Asia-Pacific.”
