In this episode of the Green Dream, the video series where ESG Clarity interviews key figureheads in the responsible investment world to get their views on the latest trends, news and movements in this evolving landscape, Natalie Kenway speaks to Jennifer Wu, global head of sustainable investing at JP Morgan Asset Management.
Wu gives more details on the company’s recent announcement to enhance its ESG commitment, highlighting that $1.9trn of the firm’s assets under management now have ESG considerations integrated into the investment process.
She also discusses the different meanings of ESG and different ways to achieve it, but that ultimately ESG is neutral information.
Wu says investment groups need to up their game on how they communicate ESG issues with clients and also emphasises “everyone has the ability to make an impact through their pensions and investments”.
She also discusses the asset classes where ESG is most advance and why she thinks there will be more product innovation in the fixed income ESG sector.
