Parnassus, WCM, ClearBridge and JP Morgan were the companies with funds in the five highest spots on the most recent Responsible Ratings Index, which shows the top-rated and top-performing U.S. funds based on ESG credentials, performance, volatility and company sustainability agendas.
The RRI, an index by InvestmentNews’ ESG Clarity US in partnership with sister company Last Word Research, is a compendium of fund ratings from Morningstar and MSCI .This update includes ratings of 1,545 funds from a universe of more than 7,500.
“The RRI is an essential tool as the latest report produced by Last Word Research found that 70% of investors in the U.S. take ESG into consideration when it comes to fund selection,” said Lottie McGurk, quantitative researcher at Last Word Research. “The RRI allows investors to discover funds that do not fit the expected criteria and highlights the plethora of choice out there for those who are looking.”
