Latest podcast episode explores unfair pay in Bangladeshi factories

Last month, a survey of 1,000 factories in Bangladesh found workers were paid the same as before the pandemic, despite soaring costs of materials.

For ESG Clarity’s latest episode of the ESG Out Loud podcast, global deputy editor Natasha Turner speaks to lead author on the report, Muhammad Azizul Islam, professor of sustainability accounting and transparency at Aberdeen University, about the findings.

They are joined by Sarasin & Partners’ stewardship analyst Therese Kieve to discuss the implications for the investment industry and progress in supply chain due diligence.
