Amundi to drive sustainable investing push in South Asia

The firm has created a key sustainable officer role in Singapore.

Amundi has appointed Sylvia Chen in the newly created role of senior sustainable officer, effective 1 February.

Chen is tasked to drive sustainable investing in South Asia. Based in Singapore, she will represent the firm’s ESG expertise and work with financial analysts and fund managers to better integrate ESG in their investment decision and processes. She reports to Eric Bramoullé, CEO for South Asia.

Chen was previously at BNP Paribas and OCBC and had experience in the debt capital markets origination and issuance space, including ESG and green bonds, according to the statement.

In February, the firm also rolled out sustainable funds in Singapore, including the Polen Capital Growth Fund and the KBI Global Sustainable Infrastructure Fund, as well as two “ESG Improvers”-branded products.
